I sent my ranch horse to spend time with Matea and I was blown away with the results. I will never take a horse anywhere else. She’s a great gift to every horse who has the opportunity to learn with her. And don’t even get me started on how much better she has made me. This will be the best decision you’ve ever made.

I absolutely love the work Matea has done with my filly! She has done everything so far from halter breaking as a weanling to starting under saddle as a 2 year old. Matea is unique in that she understands both horses and humans. In my experiences with her, I am continually impressed by her observational skills and ability to intervene before there is a problem, both my horses and with me. Her style is both effective and gentle. She expects and attains results, in ways that are specific to the goals and capabilities of me and my horses. More than that, she is fun to be around and clearly cares for others. I look for ways to work with her all the time.

I have really enjoyed the time I’ve been able to spend with Matea and using her facilities! She is incredibly knowledgeable and can tell me how to fine tune my riding as she watches. She is also really helpful with advise when I reach out to her with issues I’ve having with my horse. My daughter and I both greatly value the time we’ve been able to spend at the Harmony Horseman arena and with Matea in lessons.

Since I’ve started going to Matea, she has really helped Ellie and I work together as a team. We have made so much progress on fine tuning Elli’s responsiveness and working towards Liberty. Whenever I am stuck on something, I schedule a lesson and walk away with an exercise that helps us get through it.

The before and after Matea comparison is incredible! I was involved in a 2-day horsemanship clinic with her at Hope and Healing Academy and it was VERY WELL worth it! Matea was very attentive to all skills levels of people and horses. What I got out of the clinic, I feel, was the knowledge and confidence that would have taken another year for me to acquire otherwise. The different exercises and ways of putting them together gave me a lot to go off of when working with my horse so neither of us get bored and that has helped tremendously. I can’t thank her enough for her time and look forward to working with her again.
