Developing Softness with your Horse

Softness allows us to shape our horses and achieve better performance. From working a gate to developing a spin, softness is the key to getting our horses relaxed and working for us. We will dive in to how you can develop vertical flexion with your horse and fine tune your horse’s steering. Learn how our horse’s mindset effects softness and find techniques to have better hands as a rider. This clinic will help you develop better communication as a rider and strengthen your partnership with your horse.

⁃ How your horse’s mindset effects is softness
⁃ Have better communication with the reins
⁃ Fine tune your steering to develop your horse into an all-around handy partner
⁃ How to get your horse to operate off your leg and rein with softness
⁃ Techniques to have better hands as a rider
⁃ Develop vertical flexion or soft feel

About your Instructor:
As a horse development specialist, Matea Babcock understands horse psychology and can fast track your progress. She has been teaching professionally for the last 9 years. Her experience in the horse industry ranges from training colts and trail riding green horses to  developing her skills as a NVRHA certified judge. Whether you are just starting out or need help fine tuning your lead changes, this clinic will challenge and empower you!
