Trail Riding Course – May 6-7th, 2023

Develop the skills in yourself and your horse to be confident and have fun out on the trail. Trail riding can be dangerous and nerve racking. Find out how you, as the rider, can cultivate a strong focus and help your horse with his own emotional fitness on the trail. You will receive riding tips for riding different terrain, navigating water crossings, and much more. Have a specific issue you want help with (spooking, gigging on the trail, etc.)? We will help you problem solve to find a natural solution. 


In this 2 day clinic, you’ll learn the leadership skills needed to ride out and have fun doing it! We focus on improving our horsemanship skills to get our horse working for us. You will get practical experience riding through creeks, ponds, and up/down hills. This is a great way to improve your relationship with your horse all while having fun with a great group of riders. At the end of the clinic, participants are invited to join a short ride down to the beautiful creek that borders our property. This is a day clinic you won’t want to miss!   

We have a beautiful indoor arena to ride in as well as additional riding through a near by creek. We also have an obstacle course that includes a swinging bridge, water obstacle, and much more. A short walk from the arena, we beautiful guest rooms available with access to a kitchen. It’s the perfect way to turn your weekend into a relaxing horse getaway!

About your Instructor:
Matea Babcock has trained and helped many trail horses relax into riding out. As a horse development specialist, she understands the horse psychology behind the training that can fast track your progress. She has been teaching professionally for the last 9 years and her experience in the horse industry ranges from colt starting, and trail riding green horses to training gaited horses, and cow horses. She’s ridden in tough country from the Continental Divide in CO to trails in Montana. Using her knowledge and experience, she strives to help you develop the skills and confidence you need to be successful out on the trail with your horse.

Price: $500/rider for the weekend or $250/rider/day
